“It’s important you understand that first it’s your skill level that matters, not the time you spend with us… Your skill reflects your commitment… The technical standard of the Kali Silat Evolution should be preserved as the highest standard possible…“

                                                                                                                                        Dakilang Guro

In my mind, Filipino Martial Arts is not only a weapons system. It's a true Warrior Arts with all the fighting aspects. I find the FMA as one of the most organized and rational Fighting Systems. It's practical, efficient and at the same time it has given me the opportunity to create and define myself as a Martial Artist.

KSE is not only FMA. It's also heavily influenced by Pencak Silat, Muay Boran and Western Boxing. Each of these Arts works together... They complete each other with their personal values...

I truly believe that KSE should enable my students to create on their own, to define on their own... Martial Arts should help us to find our ability to adapt to any given situation. Find our way to survive in any situation... KSE more than techniques... It's a state of mind...

Kali Silat Evolution... Be in Motion...

KSE is a modern synthesis of several traditional Filipino Martial Arts and South East Asian Martial Arts. The training concepts of KSE are composed of several sub-systems. These sub-systems are Panantukan (Filipino Boxing), Sikaran (Filipino Kicking), Doble Baston (Double Sticks), Solo Baston (Single Stick), Daga (Knife Fighting), Espada Y Daga (Sword and Dagger), Kadena De Mano (Filipino Trapping) and Dumog (Filipino Grappling) and different approach of Pencak Silat. In addition, KSE  is heavily influenced by the Muay Boran and Western Boxing Concept

The Kali Silat part of the KSE includes elements of: Balintawak / Doce Pares Eskrima / Inayan System of Eskrima / Inosanto Kali / Krabi Krabong / Lucaylucay Kali JKD / Maphilindo Silat / Pencak Silat Bukti Negara / Pencak Silat Serak / Pencak Silat Cimande / Pencak Silat Concept / Pencak Silat Tapak Suci / Silat Kuntaw
KSE is completed with the following elements of: Bando / Muay Boran / Panantukan / Western Boxing Concept
KSE Urban Self Defence: Bouncer & Security experience along with common sense…

In KSE these concepts are woven together into a complete and very effective fighting system. Any improvement in one aspect of the Art will lead to an immediate progression in the others.
In a combination of empty hands training and weapons training, the practitioner will develop speed, coordination, stamina, strength and reflexes that support self defence and fighting skills.

The KSE Training Program is not set…
It’s built up to be improved…
To give you a lead…
To open a path to your own expression…
To see beyond the traditional expression…
To see what you may already know with new eyes…
