PANANTUKAN " DIRTY BOXING "

The Boxing component of Kali Silat Evolution is known as Panantukan. Often, it’s referred to as "Dirty Boxing" due to the use of groin slaps, head butts, head manipulations, elbows, and limb destruction. Knees are also added to the mix and often aimed at the lower body while in Boxing Range.

DOUBLE STICKS " DOBLE BASTON "

Double Sticks or Sinawali. It's the Basic Foundation of the Filipino Martial Arts. From Basic coordination exercises to Fighting Applications.

SINGLE STICK " SOLO BASTON "

This is the primary weapon of the Filipino Martial Arts. Everything that we made with a stick can be translate to Empty Hand Application.

KNIFE " DAGA "

Most systems of Kali apply a single set of techniques for the stick, knife or empty hand combat and is referred to as “motion grouping.” Unlike most martial arts, Kali starts training with weapons because it is believed that the weapon is an extension of the body. Therefore, through the same exercises, empty hand combat is naturally acquired with the development of weapons training.

URBAN SELF DEFENCE

This is my own vision of what it means to survive in the real world. It's a combination of my  experience with common sense.

K stands for "KALI SIKARAN"

As the Founder of the Kali Sikaran, it's the base of my vision of Filipino Martial Arts… The rationality, simplicity and efficiency of KSE comes from the Filipino structure.

S for "SILAT BELADIRI"

Which is more my interpretation of some of the Indonesian, Malaysian Pencak Silat aspects of Self Defence… I use it for the overkill spirit and body motion…

E for "EVOLUTION"

Giving me the opportunity to include some other Martial Arts components that I have learned and experienced throughout the years. But more important to allow myself to grow in the Arts no matter where it will lead me...
